Ukrainian Fighters take a break from fighting Russians

Vasiliy Lomachenko faced Australian George Kambosos, Jr. for the IBF lightweight title, and this promised to be an interesting fight as both fighters were looking not just for a title but also a loss could hurt the loser if not end his career as championship contenders.

Lomachenko won the first two rounds as Lomachenko landed Kambosos 18 punches to 5 and controlled the ring and I had Lomachenko ahead 20-18.  In the third round Kambosos landed 8 punches for his best round, but his opponent landed 14 punches and as ESPN announcers Tim Bradley noted as the fourth round progressed, Lomachenko has downloaded his opponent weakness and he simply avoided Kambosos punches while accurately landing 21 punches to only one for Kambosos and after the round, it was 40 to 36 for Lomachenko who is looking as sharp as I seen in a while.

The fifth round was the same as the other rounds as Lomachenko simply landed at will and Kambosos couldn’t even land a punch. Lomachenko landed 41 punches and Kambosos only three in the fourth and fifth round.

The sixth round, Kambosos became more aggressive but unfortunately as he moved forward, he got counter by Lomachenko who landed 19 punches to Kambosos 7, and halfway through the fight 60-54, an easy fight to score.

The seventh-round saw Lomachenko dominate the round with slick boxing, sharp accurate punches and Kambosos was missing when he threw.  Kambosos threw a punch only to find Lomachenko was no longer there.  Lomachenko cut Kambosos’ right eye and now Kambosos was becoming more desperate and after nine rounds, 90-81 since I had not found a round to give Kambosos.

The tenth round saw Lomachenko repeat what he did for the previous nine rounds.  His boxing was masterful, and he moved with fluidity as he maneuver Kambosos into position and bloodied up Kambosos’ face.  With two rounds left, Lomachenko was up on my scorecard 100-90.  In the eleventh round, Lomachenko went to the body and sent Kambosos down for the count with a vicious straight hand to Kambosos’ face.  Kambosos got back up, but it was obvious that Kambosos had little left and Lomachenko attacked Kambosos with two nasty body shots that sent Kambosos down for the count.

Lomachenko spent the past year fighting Russians in his native Ukraine and he came back strongly.  He started fast and you would not known that Lomachenko was 36 years old and had spent a year in combat.  From the opening bell to the very end, he moved and boxed brilliantly, giving Kambosos little chance to hit while taking advantage of any hole in Kambosos’ defense.

This is what domination looks like.  Lomachenko landed 175 punches to Kambosos 40, that means for every punch Kambosos landed, Lomachenko landed 4. Lomachenko landed 70 jabs to only 4 for Kambosos and Lomachenko landed 105 power shots  and landed 50 percent of his power shots.  Lomachenko landed three power shots for every one that Kambosos landed.

There was not one round in which Kambosos out landed Lomachenko in punches and Lomachenko averaged 16 punches landed per round compared to Kambosos 4 punches.  That is what domination of a fight looks like.

This was one of Lomachenko best fights and this was as masterful a performance as one could ever expect, an elite fighter showing at the age of 36, that he still has it.

Is CO2 increase good for the planet? Part 2

What if CO2 is good for the planet part two

Here are some interesting studies that shows that maybe a higher CO2 is good for the planet and that the CO2 is causing a greening planet. Cortes et al noted that 15.8 million km2 of the surface has greened compared to 1.1 million km2 has browned 1 In another study presented by NoTrickZone,“CO2 fertilization is considered as the dominant factor responsible for the global greening phenomenon, contributing 70% of the increased global leaf area index (LAI) since the 1980s.”2    As No Tricks Kenneth Richards note about Guo paper, “And now a new analysis (Gao et al., 2022) suggests that even if the CO2 fertilization effect is held constant over the next 60 to 80 years, a global warming of 4.8°C will also result in even more net greening across the globe. The regions that are simulated to become browner are easily overwhelmed by the greening regions…So when it comes to vegetation, leaf area, and gross primary production, the effects of rising CO2 and rising temperature are net positive…This is likely not welcome news for those who wish to peddle climate alarmism.”3.

Satellite observations confirm that Planet grew greener over the last four decades and as Wu et al projected that this greening will continue through out century.4  One study stated that higher CO2 means more food and showed that .8 percent more crop per 1 ppm increase in CO2, so the increase CO2 improves agricultural output and the increase in C02 is acting as a plant fertilization and the results is increased crop yields.  Normally in a sane world, this is considered good news.

Ken Richards “highlighted a new study indicating the rising greening trends in the last four decades can be attributed to the change in precipitation patterns and “the physiological impact of rising CO2…Greening-induced increases in evapotranspiration lead, in turn, to an increase in the global cloud cover. Increases in cloud cover reduce incoming solar radiation. A decline in incoming solar radiation cools the surface. So rising CO2 concentrations ultimately contribute to global-scale greening, and, consequently, to a surface cooling that offsets warming projections.”

NoTrickZone Ken Richards “ highlighted a another new study indicating the rising greening trends in the last four decades can be attributed to the change in precipitation patterns and “the physiological impact of rising CO2…Greening-induced increases in evapotranspiration lead, in turn, to an increase in the global cloud cover. Increases in cloud cover reduce incoming solar radiation. A decline in incoming solar radiation cools the surface… So rising CO2 concentrations ultimately contribute to global-scale greening, and, consequently, to a surface cooling that offsets warming projections.” 6.

What we conclude from these studies?  The first point is that the planet is getting greener and not browning and this means that CO2 is adding to this planet greening. The second point is that CO2 aids in increasing crop yields and this means more food for us.  Which is a good thing since we live in a world that surpasses 8 billion  people.

KC Royals May 9th, Is Something Brewing?

Watching the Royals playing the Angels and I know it is early in the season, but this Royals team looks different, and it begins with pitching.  The Royals are now 8th overall with a 3.36 ERA, and their starting pitchers have improved with Brady Singer is 3-1 with 2.36 ERA, Cole Ragan is 2-2 with 3.38 ERA, Lugo who they obtained via free agency, is 5-1 with 1.92 ERA.  Alec Marsh is 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA and presently he is on the injured list, but he is due back shortly.  Wacha is only 1-4 with 4.85 but overall, that is a solid starting rotation. Relief pitching has been  spotty in particular in the beginning of the year and so far there have been 5 blown saves.  However, James McArthur has 8 saves, Angel Zerpa has a 1.69 and dependable left hander plus John Schreiber has a 3-0 record out of the bullpen with 1.04 ERA.  Another dependable reliever was Nick Anderson with a 3.29 ERA. Overall, they are third, allowing only  132 runs allowed and 29 homers.  They are better at pitching compared to last year, which last year was a disaster.

As for the offense, it has been essentially Salvy Perez who is hitting .326 with 8 home runs and 32 RBI while Witt is hitting .322 along with scoring  36 runs scored, 5 home runs and 13 stolen bases. Vinnie Pasquantino had a slow start, but he has 5 home runs and coming into this game, hitting .252 but Maikel Garcia has been hot and cold as he started hot but had extended slump but has comeback recently, but the outfield has been disappointment with Melendez at .182, Isabel .217, Renfore .147 and Nelson Velazquez at .207, hardly a killer’s row.

Overall, though, Royals is 8th with 184 runs, 8TH with 175 RBI’s  fifth with 42 stolen bases, 5th in doubles, and even 14th in home runs at 39 and considering they play in the spacious Kauffman stadium, this is impressive.

The Royals have 18 quality starts, ranking third in the major league and Lugo leads the lead with 8.  And the Royals defense has been an asset as well.  They are second in fielding percentage, second with only 13 errors.  In some ways there are similarities between the 2024 Royals and the 2014-15 edition, with solid defense, good starting pitching and timely hitting and now it appears that the bullpen is coming around.

What if we are CO2 starving?

What if we are actually living in a period in which we are low on CO2? That our planet needs more Carbon Dioxide for plant life?  The entire premise of the climate alarmist position is that we have too much Carbon Dioxide and need to cut back but this planet has had higher CO2 levels and certainly, as CO2 levels have gone up, we actually seen agricultural output increase to go with increase prosperity.  We are feeding more people better diets today so the real question, what if we are looking for this issue backwards?  Instead of worrying about too much Carbon Dioxide, maybe we need to worry about not enough Carbon Dioxide.

Plant life can die out if the overall CO2 levels are less 150 ppm, which nearly happened during  the last glacial maximum and we are now at 420 ppm and the question do we still need more?  As one observer noted, hothouse growers raise their CO2 between 1000 to 1200 ppm, and food plants like corn and rice grown faster and larger.

One solution of switching to solar and wind-turbine energy and away from fossil fuels for this project will increase energy prices and thus make us poorer.  Wealthier nations not only feed their citizens better than developing nations, but they are cleaner environmentally because the extra wealth allows them to spend resources to clean their environment.

Climate science has abandoned the process of  traditional science but what we are seeing with Climate science could be described as “Post-Normal Science,” which relies more on computer modeling that about reviewing the empirical evidence and testing out hypotheses.   IPCC modeling run hotter than modeling results not supported by what observed by weather-ballon data and satellite data and long-term surface weather records and yet we are basing our policies on the models and models are only good as the variables included.  Ken Wilson, a retired engineer noted, “We have been living in the Modern Warm Period since the end of the Little Ice Age (1300-1850). This is a moderate warming trend that is similar in character to that of the Medieval Warm Period about 1,000 years ago, the Roman Warm period about 2,000 years ago, and the Minoan Warm Period about 3,500 years ago. This is all happening within the Holocene Interglacial period, which ended almost 100,000 years of glaciation about 12,000 years ago. At the Holocene maximum, about 6,000 years ago, northern summers were about 4° Celsius warmer than today, almost all the glaciers had melted, a spruce forest was growing at Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, and sea levels were about 2 metres (6 feet) higher than today. We entered a Neoglacial cooling phase about 3,000 years ago. New glaciers began to form during temperature dips like the Little Ice Age.” 1.

One of the more interesting things is that Climate Change isn’t causing more deaths in adverse weather conditions just as hurricanes and tornadoes, but significantly less by more than 90 percent. This improvement is due to increase knowledge that allowed devised warning procedures and a good example of this was Hurricane Ian that hit Florida in 2022.   150 people total died in that hurricane compared to a similar hurricane that hit Galveston, Texas a century earlier and ended up killing 6,000 to 8,000 people.2

6000 deaths compared to 150 is considerable difference and in the case of Ian, Florida  was able to fix roads, get the electrical grid back up in as short period of time and even islands off the Florida coast had bridges repaired to ensure food, drugs and supplies were able to get through.

Different researchers have noted that we have witnessed warmer temperatures over the past several millenniums.  Among the conclusion includes, “ During the warmest part of the Holocene about 6,000 years ago … summer temperatures were as much as 40C above present. Glaciers disappeared from the Rocky Mountains and other high mountains. They began to reform about 3,000 years ago during a cool episode known as the Neoglacial and further expanded during the Little Ice Age of the past few hundred years.” 39 “It is now recognized that swings in climate after the Neoglacial occur on a roughly 1,000-year periodicity as part of what is known as the millennial scale oscillation. A prominent warm phase occurred 2,000 years ago during the Roman Empire (the Roman Warm Period). The Dark Ages Cold Period of approximately 100 to 800 CE was followed in turn by the Medieval Warm Period, which refers to a few hundred years that peaked around 1000 CE. During this warm period, glaciers retreated, but cooler conditions returned during the Little Ice Age of 1350 to 1850 CE. Mountain glaciers grew worldwide such that in the mid-nineteenth century they were larger than during anytime in the past 10,000 years.”3.

As the chart below shows, we have seen as warm temperatures if not warmer in the last two thousand years.  4

So, what caused this warming period of the past and what caused those colder periods as well?  That is a question that should be answered before we decide to essentially wipe out civilization as we know it and return our economy to the medieval periods.

My purpose is not assuming that we need more CO2 only to tell the readers that the science is unsettled and there is much to learn and know before we decided to place radical solutions that could end up killing billions.

The Washington Post in an editorial called for Humans to reengineer the climate to save the planet. “Climate engineering scholars” David Keith and Wake Smith believe that we can have 15 souped up gulfstreams to put 100,000 tons of sulfur in the lower stratosphere to block solar rays only for half billion dollars over five years.  Note I put quotation over “Climate engineering scholars” since how can anyone be so stupid to actually consider having governments change the weather.  We just witnessed what happened in United Arab Emirates when the government added cloud seeding to a front coming in and flooding resulted.

In the early 1980’s, one study supposedly stated that 100 nuclear wars unleashed at one time would produce a nuclear winter along with the radiation and other impacts of a nuclear war.  This was considered a bad thing but now we have “scientists” who want to make this planet colder and produce their version of a nuclear winter only without unleashing nuclear weapons.5.

We live in an era in which up is down and down is up, an upside world in which our so-called experts want  a colder planet.   Makes no sense but here we are with some of the idiotic ideas to save the planet which would result in the end of civilization as we know it and the Middle class in the developed world grinded into poverty and billions of those in the developing world starving to death and the survivors will merely barely getting by.

Some of the dumb ideas include:

1.      Blocking the sun to reduce climate warming what could go wrong? In 1981, Carl Sagan and others warned of a nuclear winter as result of a nuclear exchange with small percentages of nuclear arsenal release.  Now the Biden administration is seriously considering plans to do this, introduce a nuclear winter without of the nuclear weapons and supported research by Bill Gates.  Remember more people die in cold weather and introducing cold weather would shorten growing season.  This will put billions around the world on the verge of starvation.6

2.      Reducing farmer yields, taking farmland out of circulations, reducing any use of fossil fuels or nitrogen for fertilizers.  Our elites want us to eat bugs in place of meat since raising cows and pigs is bad for the planet.  What we are talking about is engineering massive famines beginning in the developing world. 7

3.      Eliminate fossil fuels that power our civilization with no replacement. So far EV’s are not selling due to their high cost but despite that the average American don’t want them, the Biden administration will force us to buy them.  How do you recharge your EV’s without fossil fuels plant?  Without fossil fuels, we are talking about returning our world to the 18th and early 19th centuries.  As a result, poverty increase, and economic prosperity declines and that is a best-case scenario.

Just look at some of the ideas and the results is increase poverty and increase death from lack of food, higher food and energy prices, unreliable energy,  and widespread poverty.  The reality is that many are waking up to the cost of net zero and finding they are not interested in paying the price in higher prices and lower living standards.

Many climates alarmist viewed the Pandemic lockdowns as a model for a future declared climate emergency and never mind the Pandemic lockdowns were a complete failure in stopping the virus and the loss of freedoms and various mandates resulted in loss of businesses and increase excess mortality.  This is the plan on a larger scale that is being planned by the climate alarmists.

Sri Lanka has already experimented with these ideas and within two years, the country went from being a food exporter to the food importer, the economy and government collapsed, and people put on the verge of starvation.  We had a grand experiment when a warmer climate, a little extra CO2 and rise of free market economy showed that the complete opposite happened, increase prosperity, greener planet, more food being raised, higher GDP per capita.  That is what the climate alarmists want to stop and instead replace it with a world with more poverty, people starving in the billions and a decreased standard of living..  We have done our experiments and guess what the climate alarmists want to see happen.  The opposite of what will make this a better world.8

Science is unsettled and there is much to learn and discuss and we don’t even know for certain what is the optimal CO2 levels and there is plenty of evidence to suggest we might need more CO2! What we do know is that with the expansion of market economy and as part of the development of market economy, the development of fossil fuels which has led to greatest prosperity the world has seen and while there is much more to do and accomplished, we know that our hope is the continuation and further spread of free market economy worldwide. The only way we will see massive famines and worldwide poverty  is to abandon this approach and follow the advice of the so-called climate experts and their economic plan of a control economy.  Under just these experts plan, we will see less freedom, less prosperity, more poverty, and massive deaths from starvation.  History has shown what works to alleviate poverty and allow us to survive whatever Mother nature imposes on us.  And the tragedy is that our “climate experts” and alarmist deny science, the economic data and history in proposing their solutions.  They are the true deniers of data and science.

Canelo wins again

Jamie Munguia faced his toughest tough in his 44th fight against one of the best fighters of this generation, Canelo Alvarez and Munguia would be part of an Alvarez tradition of the Cinco de Mayo weekend where Alvarez was 9-1 with his only lost to undefeated light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.  This was the first time two Mexican fighters fought for an undisputed championship fight. And this was the first super Middleweight championship bout featuring two Mexican born fighters and in fact this was the first world title bout above 160 pounds featuring two Mexican fighters.  So, this weekend history was being made.

Munguia took the center as the crowd was excited.  Munguia jabs to set the range and starts aggressively. Canelo goes to the body with a glancing right while Munguia jab looks fast as he jabs to the body and ties up Alvarez as Alvarez comes forward. Alavarez lands left hooks to the body and then lands a right hand to the other side.  Munguia wants this to be a brawl.

Alvarez in the second round takes the middle of ring but Munguia is letting his punches earlier and landing jabs.  Munguia landing straight punches and forcing Canelo to lean back but Canelo work the body.  The score was 10-9 and 20-18.after two rounds.

Munguia pumping jab and following with right hand plus doubles up on left hook that cracked Canelo midsection.  Both men trade punches and Munguia throwing punches plenty of volume while cutting off the ring as he took the third round. Munguia using great head movement and throws punches in volume at the beginning of the fourth round but Canelo landed hooks to the body with upper cuts and sent Munguia down with a left hook and uppercut in the fourth round.  Alvarez won the fifth round with his body shots and cleaner punching After five rounds, I had it 49-44.

Canelo using left hook to counter Munguia jab and Canelo connected 1-2 and left hook along with body shot in the sixth round and at the halfway mark, Canelo landed 65 power shots and connecting at 47 percent  versus Munguia 42 power shots and only connecting at 30 percent.

Canelo came out firing in the seventh round, as Munguia tried to work his jab.  Munguia landed uppercuts and Alvarez retreated to the rope before he punched his way out of trouble I gave the round to Canelo. In the eighth round was Munguia round as he went to Canelo body and Munguia landed upper cuts but Alvarez jabbing effectively.  After eight rounds 78-73 in favor of the champion.

Canelo was using his jab as Munguia landed a straight right, and even landed big punches but Canelo landed his own power shots.  Munguia landed a volume of punches to take the round after nine rounds it was 87-83.  In the tenth round, Munguia tried to keep Alvarez on the rope, but Canelo stayed close to unleashing his power shots including upper cuts along with body shots.  The score in my view was 97 -92 with two rounds left.

Round eleventh saw Munguia picking up the pace, but it didn’t stop Alvarez from scoring as he moved backward but as both fighters exchanged punches over the last thirty seconds and Munguia ended the round with a left hook.  With one more round, 106-102.

As the final round began, Munguia charged ahead as he figured he was behind on the cards, and he wasn’t wrong.  Canelo landed a pair of hooks and Munguia missed against Alvarez tight defense. Munguia missed shots and lost the decision, 116-111, 117-110, 115-113 and I had it 116-111.

The autonomy of Alvarez victory begins with Alvarez out landing Munguia in total punches 234 to 170 connecting on 44 percent of his punches whereas Munguia only landed 26 percent.  Alvarez out jab Munguia and landed more power punches.  Munguia failed to penetrate Alvarez defense.

Alvarez landed more combinations and when you look at three and four punch combinations, Alvarez landed 32 percent versus 25 percent for Munguia which led to significant differences between the two.

Alvarez was more efficient with his combinations punching and when you add all the data,  Alvarez was more efficient and accurate with his punches  and better at defending against Munguia.

Munguia chose to fight and not be a punching bag but as he discovered, Alavarez was not easy to hit and could land power shots in return.  Munguia was competitive but while he was a good fighter, Alavarez was an elite fighter.

As for Alvarez the one fight that everyone wants is David Benavidez but there is also a rematch with Dmitry Bivol and WBA has Edgar Berlanga as a mandatory challenger.  The biggest money makers will be Benavidez or Bivol. Bivol has its own potential fight against Artur Beterbiev, in a battle of undefeated light heavyweight.  Benavidez has been waiting for his shot at Alvarez.

Like Alvarez, he has shown himself to be one of the best pounds for pound over the past two decades and his only losses were to the  great Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol.  And he has used the Cinco de Mayo weekend to highlight his greatness.

DeSantis, Tulsi and Tim

On our weekly report, we talk Vice President possibility in particular Ron DeSantis, Tulsi Gabbard, and Tim Scott.  The recent meeting with DeSantis and Trump dealt with moving forward in winning 2024.  As for Ron DeSantis, he would be the best choice for the Vice President since his record on Florida showed his ability to lead.  As the campaign progressed last fall,  DeSantis became more comfortable and he showed in winning one on one with Newsome and Haley, he is capable of taking  the fight to Biden and Harris.  His advantage is the following.

  1. He was right on the Pandemic and by the fall of 2020, Florida was open for business. This could help with the one weakness Trump has, his failure on the pandemic including the lockdown which was economic disaster and did little to stop pandemic.
  2. He has served in the military.
  3. His economic record as governor of Florida.
  4. His record on taking on the bureaucracy in Florida and it can be transferred to Washington.

The disadvantage is as follows.

  1. Both live in Florida and so one of the two has to move and won’t be the governor. Trump does have one option, Virginia, where the attorney General will not try to arrest him.  He has a winery in Virginia and property in DC which he can watch from Virginia.  New York is out of the questions since he is already under target in the state.
  2. Both men are Alpha and could Trump co-exist with DeSantis and how would DeSantis work with Trump?
  3. DeSantis is neither a woman or a minority.

Tim Scott has one attribute he is black.  Now the question is he tough enough to be Vice President and potentially President? He did get engaged recently so no more questions on why a 57-year-old Senator is still single. Plus, a nice touch for a man who might be a Vice President.

  1. Scott is a nice guy and likeable, something that Trump is not.
  2. He is black and man who came up from poverty to become a United States Senator.
  3. He will not compete for being alpha in an administration run by an alpha male.
  4. Vice President usually are attack dogs, but Trump is his own attack dog and having a nice person as second on the ticket is a benefit.
  5. He will give comfort to any social conservatives that their view will be represented.

The disadvantage for Scott

  1. Is he tough enough to be taken on the swamp and administrative state?

Tulsi Gabbard has made it clear she is ready to become a Republican if Trump asks her to join the ticket.  The advantage of Tulsi is that she still serves in the reserve and like DeSantis served in the Middle East. Tulsi is the riskiest of the candidates since her own view seems to be evolving and there is no certainty on the big issues where she presently stands.  Among the advantages include:

  1. She is a veteran that has served, and her foreign policy may fit the modest foreign policy desire of Trump.  She is big supporter of Israel but not sold on Ukraine being in our nation interest.
  2. As a woman who is more social liberal than most in the Republican party , she might appeal to the suburban female.
  3. She destroyed Kamala Harris in the 2020 Democratic primary in one of the great put down in debate histories.  There is no reason that she would not repeat.
  4. She is advocate of free speech, oppose censorship, and understand the extent that Democrats will go to win.

What are the disadvantages?

  1. There is still much to learn about her views and evolution of where she now stands versus when she was Democrat.
  2. Is she too much of a non-interventionist in foreign policy?

Tulsi Gabbard has made it clear she is willing to serve as Trump Vice President and while I am not sold as Gabbard as VP since the VP will be odds on favorite to be 2028 nominee, and more importantly, Trump legal issues only intensifies and let be blunt, he is 78 years old and there is a possibility that he could die in office. You better sure who the VP is ready to be President and just as important in tune with the grassroots of the GOP.  Tulsi may not yet part of the new conservative revolution.  There is a toughness with Tulsi that you also see in DeSantis.  Unlike DeSantis, she may not be as threatening to the chief Alpha dog but somehow I get the impression, she would be willing to stand up to Trump if she thinks he is wrong.  If I had a choice, DeSantis would be the top candidate simply because he is the most prepared to be President, but Tulsi could integrally part of the Trump administration.  However, there is little chance to pick DeSantis and not sure Tulsi will be

Should Trump be elected

This article is inspired by an exchange by a Liberal friend and instead of writing a few words on social media, I would write a more detailed piece why I will be voting for Trump.  She asked if I was following British politics and the decline of the conservative party. And of course there is the old line, Trump is a dictator or fascist.

I will begin with the decline of the conservative Party in Great Britain, and yes there is a lesson, and the lesson is that a conservative party should govern conservatively.  When Boris Johnson won his election in 2019 he had the opportunity of a lifetime to cement the conservative party as the party of the common person but alas, the pandemic short circuited those goals and like Trump, Johnson made the mistake of locking down the economy and unlike Trump, adopted the zero sum/ green agenda which made energy cost higher.  When the conservative attempted a U turn with Liz Truss, the establishment ended that quickly and the present Tory party is now led by the hapless Rishi Sunak. The conservative will lose the next election in UK and they have earned the loss. If I lived in UK, I vote for the reform party before I pulled the lever for the present British conservative party.

Trump mistake in the Pandemic was not firing Debbie Birks and Tony Fauci when it became apparent that by April that the lockdown would be an economic disaster and that the virus would be not as lethal as originally thought.  The good news for Republicans was that many GOP governors moved away from the bad science of Fauci and Birks and toward the superior science of the Great Barrington Declaration. (While DeSantis was considered the leader of this movement, South Dakota governor Kristi Noem never closed the state economy  and Georgia governor Brian Kemp opened his up before April ended.  DeSantis did popularize the views of the Great Barrington Declaration and showed there was another way. Doesn’t guarantee victory but if the GOP wins, there is a new generation that is beyond Washington with the experiences of being effective. (Meanwhile in Washington, the Republicans in the House have been less than effective in governing.)

From August 2020 to the end of 2022, Republican states outperformed their Democratic counterpart economically and Americas Majority Foundation which I work for conducted four studies by Wilfred Reilly and myself that showed  this and other studies have confirmed this.  As mentioned in my book Americas At The Abyss, Where America Survive? and previous book, the Rise of National Populism and Democratic Socialism, the Democratic party is the socialist party of America even if the majority of Democratic office holders won’t admit it but in the case of Republicans it is a battle over populism, conservatism and how best to combine the two. Many Republican states have proven to be effective in pushing reforms that can be transfer to Washington and Trump biggest successes came when he combined his populism with Reagan conservativism.  His foreign policy was not isolationist but a modest foreign policy.

As the recent college campus riots, “protest,” and various tactics to interfere with most normal people life like blocking roadways have shown, the left has now unleashed the Anti-Semitism as part of their ideology and we are now within that moment in America history where forces of evil are being released, threatening the very fabric of our society.   The left revolution is declaring war on what made American works and yeah, add antisemitism to the mix, we are now traveling in areas not seen in decades.

As someone who did not vote for Trump in the Iowa caucus, the choice is clear not because so much of Trump qualities but lack of qualities in his opponent.  We have seen over the past several years should wake up Americans, the war on Democracy is not being committed by Trump but by his opponents.   We had a fake Russian collusion hoax used as  pretense to try remove Trump from office despite this hoax began with a fake dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton campaign.   Is Trump a dictator?  Well, we had four years of Trump as President, and there were no concentration camps and when Trump DOJ had the opportunity to punish Hillary  Clinton for her misuse of classified documents, he chose not to.  Maybe he should have; she was guilty of violating classified comments just as the present President.   Certainly, we are witnessing lawfare against a political opponent, never witnessed in my lifetime with Biden and his DOJ along with working  with local politics, are trying to jail a political opponent.  Or as a friend of mine who has taught constitutional, trial in New York is a trial in search of crime.

As for January 6th, I make this point.  On January 7th, I condemned the violence and observed that when people no longer view that elections are fair or that their government no longer cares, this is the result.  Since then, I have not changed my mind that that many should have been arrested but we are witnessing people being thrown in jail for merely walking in the Capital or outside.  It is overkill and let be blunt, most political violence has been caused by the left and not the right since 2016.  We can trace two acts of violence tracked to the right on January 6th   and 2017 Charlottesville riot 1, but there were some 500 to 700 riots that responsible for billion of dollars of damage to cities and at least 30 deaths by the left under the BLM label. That  represented 2-4 riots as bad or worse than January 6th .  In Washington DC,  January 6th wasn’t even the worse riots in DC as rioters under the BLM banners put the White House under siege and attacked law enforcement with makeshift weapons as many were attacked on January 6th. and buildings including a local historical church.   Today, a friend observed to me we are witnessing at least one Charlottesville every day only the Nazis are not “right wingers” but hard-core lefties with congressional support from the congressional “squad.”   We are seeing support from many elite universities for what can only be described as Nazism.  If you are Jew hating Marxist, then you can make the case that you are national socialist and if you are national socialist, then you are Nazis.  Something to think about when one hears the phrase Trump is a Fascist.  There is one party that has an elected officials who has openly called for a Palestinian state from the river to the sea which is another phrase that means the elimination of Israel.  That is Tlaib from Michigan, and she is a Democrat and part of the squad led by Alexandra Cortes.  So, if a Party tolerates an anti-Semite like Tlaib, is not in a position to judge who is a fascist or Nazis and who is not.

Here is what we have seen from this administration has been censorship as they worked with social media to censor those who disagreed, we saw during the 2020 election in which law enforcements pressure social media to keep the Hunter Biden laptop off their media and when NY post broke the story, twitter blocked Post on twitter for over a week. Right now, this administration has given the Supreme Court the middle finger as Biden is still releasing college students from paying their debt after the Supreme Court told them it was unconstitutional and of course, they have ignored all laws dealing with enforcing the border.  There have been efforts to remove Trump from ballots of state until the Colorado attempt was derailed by the Supreme Court.  The problem with Trump derangement syndrome is that you fail to see that the Left is attempting to undermine freedom of speech and the Pandemic open the door for massive government power to control even what is considered an essential businesses and churches closed down while gambling casinos kept open.  On this, Trump played his role but Biden continued into is administration including vaccine and mask mandates even though the vast majority of studies fail to see any benefit of mask and the vaccine didn’t even prevent transmission and there are still questions on its efficacy.  (Depending on the study you read, it may have impacted the severity of the disease but there was no reason to force people to lose their jobs over this and forcing many young people to have a vaccine despite that the benefit outweighed the risk. )

In foreign policy, Biden policy has been a disaster beginning with Afghanistan withdrawal which sent a signal to Putin that Ukraine was available, Biden like Obama before him has attempted to reignite Iranian deal and those billions released have been used to arm their proxies including Hamas and the present war between Hamas and Israel began in part of Biden appeasement of Iran.

China is now threatening Philippines and Taiwan contrary to popular view and media narrative, we were safer under Trump than under Biden where a wider war in Europe and Middle East is becoming a possibility.   Under Trump, we had peace in the Middle East and Europe while Pacific was quiet.  Trump left Biden with alliances of Sunni Arabs and Israel against Iran while Iran was economically strapped. In Europe, Ukraine was not at war and NATO began to increase defense spending.2

For three years, Trump economy was fine as majority of Americans saw increase in their living standard and if the Pandemic not occurred, we would be in the midst of non-inflationary growth.  While we lost 20 million jobs  in April due to the lockdown, we saw nearly 55 percent of all jobs returned by the end of 2020 and unemployment dropped by more than double and below all expectations.  Biden inherited a 20 percent growth in GDP from July 2020 and million plus jobs returned from the April peak.   Trump made his share of mistakes in the pandemic and many of those Republicans governors who ignored Fauci/Birks fallacy were proven right.

Biden is a corrupt politician who used his power to enrich his family and as a former Secretary of Defense noted, there wasn’t a foreign policy Biden got right in his career. Still true.  And at the age 81, there is no doubt that Biden is not as sharp as in the past and there may be even dementia setting in.  Trump may be 78 but so far the deterioration in mental capacity has not been seen as we are witnessing with Biden.

Trump will not provide miracles and face challenges, but Biden has been a disaster in foreign policy and the average American has seen their income decline due to inflation and Biden is placing future burden on the economy starting with debts exceeding 34 trillion dollars,  the war on American energy will add to the burden of average American with higher energy prices and finally, our basic civil liberties are under siege as already outline.

I voted for DeSantis in Iowa and in November will vote with Trump not because he is the right man for the job in 2024 but Biden has been the worse President in my lifetime beginning with Eisenhower administration. And it is time to end the real war on Democracy, send Biden packing back to Delaware where his family can enjoy their wealth created by corruption.

It is time to be rid of Trump derangement syndrome and recognize that Trump maybe imperfect who may have paid a porn star to keep quiet about an affair may or may not have happened is not illegal but unseemly.  Something the voters should decide not the courts and if challenging the result of an election a crime then Hillary Clinton who has spent the last several years blaming Putin for Trump victory or Stacy Abrams who made a career of challenging the 2018 elections even though her losing margin was nearly five times what Trump lost in 2020.   If Trump should be punished for classified documents then what about Biden who according to Hur did in fact state Biden was guilty of mishandling classified documents since he was a Senator, but he didn’t want to put an old doddering old man on the stand in a DC court, figuring that the pursuing the case against a old man who can’t even remember when his son died would be fruitless. (My lawyer friend view is that Hur should have allowed the case to proceed if he felt that Biden was guilty regardless of Biden mental health.)  The problem is that if Biden is incapable of being indicted due to his possible dementia maybe he shouldn’t be President.  The world we live in, a world in which a man is determine not to be of sound mind to stand trial but to be of sound mind to be President.   You can criticize Trump for his views or what you criticize for his performance during the pandemic (I have) but he less of a Nazis or fascist than his opponent. He did not put his opponent on show trials or did his party attempt to keep his opponent of the ballot nor has he called for destruction of Israel unlike some of his opponents.   And the world was more peaceful under Trump than Biden.  Case closed.  Put country upon politics, vote for Trump.

  1. Richard Spencer, who organized the Charlottesville unite the right in 2017 and supposedly inspire Joe Biden to run for President, tweeted his support for Biden because “Democrat are more competent.”  He might even be more impressed how openly some of the squads have shown their anti-Semitism openly and gotten away with it.   Noted former KKK and anti-Semitic David Duke gave his support of the squad member Representative Omar as well.  There is whole of lot of racist supporting Democrats. I detailed this in my two most recent books.
