Tweets from October 5th number one

A few more thoughts on my tweet on eating babies. While the woman may have been a plant but what is more amazing is the reaction of the audience. The audience was not shock as much as accepting that many on their own side actually believe this to be a valid position.

As mention before, there are members of the environmental extremist have always viewed people as a problem and needs to be controlled including how many children parents should have. Population control has always part of the agenda.

Much of their effort directed at people of color. You can draw your own conclusion.

I will be busy all day so this is tweet of the morning and afternoon. Yesterday I commented on this and while many question this poor lady sanity, my own view is that her desperation is driven by many things. First she has been told repeatedly that the world is ending.

She is being told we have 12 years left by some, 10 years by others and 5 years by yet others. She is being told the world is ending and only a radical transformation of our society can save us. If it doesn’t happen it is all over.

Poor Greta Thunberg is another who reflects this teaching. Pushed by her parents and outsiders, this poor gal is leading a crusade that quite frankly she has very knowledge of including the science but she is scared because the adults in her life LIED TO her and others.

Here are the solutions suggested by journals, politicians including Presidential candidates as both causing climate change and implying must be stopped: Eating meat (Even Democrats presidential candidates stated eating meat as a cause of climate change)

They have called to change our diet. Move to higher ground, put mirrors into space to reflect the sun away from the planet. Your loyal dog and friendly cat are causing climate change and won’t be long they will outlaw pets. (Maybe you can eat Fido to go with the baby)

(I will add that much of the population control needed to save the planet is directed as countries with people of color as if Asians, Africans and Hispanics throughout the world are responsible for climate change. We are bringing back eugenics and maybe this might be racist,)

No nuclear, no fossil fuels, and an economy where we will be back to horse and buggy, provided horses will be allowed. (ps Any serious expert will tell you, there is no way an modern economy can run on wind and solar without nuclear or fossil fuels as back up.)

Note the word serious experts, since we have plenty of not so serious experts. The irony is that much of the science undergirding this is questionable science and imploding but you won’t read that in New York Times.

Since the end of the 1960’s. I have seen five end of the world scenario that did not come true. Much of the environmental disasters predicted has not only not happen the complete opposite what they foreseen did happen.

In spite of politicians world wide, we are feeding more people better, more people have escaped poverty than ever before, The planet is actually getting greener. Much of this is due to human ingenuity and maybe also due to a little extra CO2 in the atmosphere.

The world is not ending or even remotely close. The only thing that will reverse this is stupid policies like the green new deal. You can say a asteroid can hit this planet and end life as we know as it may have 65 million years ago but that is a long shot.

Here is not going to happen in the next twelve years if we continue use fossil fuels, nuclear energy, search for new energy sources that is both plentiful and inexpensive to us. We will not fry to death.

If the right policies are instituted world wide and free markets prevail, more prosperity, more people leaving poverty, more people becoming middle class, even better diets. The world will be just fine, if not better.

The problem we have is not too many people using resources but too many socialists scaring people into policies that denies basic freedoms and end of human ingenuity. We should be honest with our children, the world will be just fine. Period.

The Welterweight division is the most competitive division in boxing today with every top fighter nearly equal to each other and when the elites of the division fight each other, it is often a dog fight.  On September 28, 2019 at Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, Spence versus Porter was just like many of the key fights in the division over the past few years.  It was a tight, tough event, not necessarily easy to score but in my view, the last two rounds determine the fight.

Spence is a technically sound fighter with all the classic tools that any boxer would want.  He can box, move but he also has the power to stop an opponent.  Porter is awkward fighter who bores in his opponent and throws punches from various angles and his punches are hard to always see coming.  Both styles were on display and Spence found himself getting hit with punches he rarely got nailed with in past fights, but Porter also found that there were many moments in which Spence boxing skills diffuse his inside game.  Another aspect of the fight was Spence ability to fight inside and this allowed to Spence to neutralize Porter.  This showed up in the last two rounds. 

The first round set the stage for the rest of the fight as Porter bulled his way and even landed a big right, but in the process got caught with jabs and a couple of effective Spence’s body shots.  The firefight began in the second round as Porter’s attempts to bully his way into Spence’s midsection was greeted with body shots. Near the end of the round, Spence left uppercut landed and Porter landed a big right.

I had Spence winning the first three rounds but in the fourth, the tide ebbed toward Porter as he landed several hard shots against Spence.  This continued into the fifth round as Porter landed uppercuts to go with left hooks and overhand rights.  Spence started to look uncomfortable.  The sixth round saw both fighters nail each other in a very competitive round.

Porter forced Spence to the rope as he pounded away and was getting the better of the exchanges in the seventh round. Throughout the eighth and ninth round, the rounds were tight but I gave the advantage to Porter.  I had the fight even after ten rounds and other ringside observers were similar to my card. It was close and the final two rounds would decide the winner.

Spence landed a body shot and Porter countered with an uppercut and overhand right but then Spence landed the punch of the night as he sent Porter down with a straight left hand.  Porter got back up and attempted to regain the advantages lost but this punch turned the fight not just on the scorecard but in the ring.  Porter attempt to neutralized the knockdown came of no avail and Spence had a crucial 10-8 round.

The final round saw both fighters throwing haymakers, but Spence was the more effective puncher.   Spence landed left hands while Porter threw right hands, and both connected.  Spence at one time had Porter on the rope before Porter spin away.  Spence won the final round on my card, but it was like the rest of the right, a gritty tough round.  I had Spence winning by 115-112, similar to ESPN Dan Rafael and others.  (Sporting News had it 114-113 for Spence.).  The judges had it a split decision with two judges scoring it 116-111 for Spence and one having it 115-113 for Porter.  While the majority of the scorecards favored Spence, a case could be made for Porter winning but the overall numbers as shown by Compubox favored Spence. This would indicate the 115-112 or 116-111 in Spence favor as the more correct number. For me the eleventh round decided the fight and the Spence knockdown was the most decisive blow.

Spence is the king of the Welterweight but only barely.  He didn’t dominate Porter and over the horizon, there is the undefeated Terrace Crawford.  Spence has plenty of great fights left including Garcia, Thurman and Crawford or even Pacquiao if team Pac Man is willing to allow the old fighter to take on the new guard. 

As one individual on twitter reminded me, there are plenty of young welterweights waiting in the wing.  So there are plenty of great fights left for matchmakers to make over the next two or three years. 

Say Goodbye to Jay Gruden

I am long time Washington Redskins fan and under the Snyder’s era, a long suffering fan. Jay Gruden should have been fired this past week and the reasons are as following:

  1. Gruden at best is an average coach. Between 2015 and 2018 he was .500. Some of those years he had numerous injuries but there were two years that he had a few horses and still just above .500
  2. Who is responsible for picking the Defensive coordinator? Joe Barry and Greg Manusky are simply bad coordinator. There are some talented players, in particular at the front seven but every game, there are plays in which some one misses an assignment. I think of DeSean Jackson second touchdown in which there were no Redskins in 10 yards of him.
  3. There are times that this team overall never seem to look prepared and rarely does this team comeback to win games. The opening game in Eagles, the Redskins played a perfect half but the Eagles adjusted at halftime and the Redskins didn’t. Not able to comeback to win games could mean a coaching staff that doesn’t make adjustments.
  4. Finally and this is most important. Jay Gruden is suppose to be offensive genius or at least have offensive mindset. It has been reported that Gruden and the coaching staff didn’t want Haskins. He is only of top Qb prospects in the past draft and he fell into the Redskins’ lap. Gruden doesn’t believe in Haskins and Haskins had no real reps over the past month for going into the Giants gam.   5. It is Gruden job to prepare Haskins for the future and if he can’t or won’t, he should be fired now.

Gruden isn’t to be blamed for all of this since Bruce Allen and Daniel Snyder play a key role in getting this team together. Trent Williams hold out is a sign that this is a dysfunctional franchise since Williams major complaint was his medical treatment for a tumor. I can’t imagine a top flight coach coming to Washington and they are looking at Kevin O’Connell as a long term option and who is suppose to be a potential offensive genius. My own view is time to give O’ Connell the offensive coordinator title and maybe hire Bill Callahan as intern coach. It is time to give Greg Manusky the boot.

It is also time for the players themselves to perform in particular on defense.

Firing Gruden will not salvage this season and the Redskins will not make the playoffs but it will be a new beginning. And it is time to prepare Haskins and coach him up. Daniel Jones has done well for the Giants but he also was prepared. He beat the Redskins without Barkley, a talented young running back nor can anyone view the Giants receiving corps among the elites of the NFL. But they had their young quarterback ready to take over for Eli Manning. What Haskins need is a coach and organization that is behind him and ready to coach him up, preparing him for success and not failure.

Rationale: critical shortage of medical personnel. (A postscript should provide for military medics to get certified as civilians.)A federal IRS provision to allow legitimate research and development costs for medical technology equipment to be tax deductible, thus reducing the market cost for buyers and therefore users. Rationale: to dramatically reduce the cost of technology-based therapies, which are currently priced in the $thousands even treatments of common diseases such as cancer.A federal law defining health insurance as interstate commerce to override the differing laws of the 50 states. Rationale: dramatically reduce the administrative costs of medical insurance.A federal law defining liability for medical mishaps as restricted to provable harm to victims with pre-determined limitation of financial penalties (tort reform). Rationale: elimination of defensive medicine and reduction of costs for medical liability insurance as major cost drivers.An IRS stipulation prohibiting US employers from claiming medical benefits to employees as a tax-deductible cost of doing business, leaving all medical and health matters to the personal responsibility of individuals and heads of household. Rationale: the buyer of health care thus becomes the individual who is the final decision-maker of therapies and treatments.

a.  An ancillary provision that DHHS maintain and publish a directory of ALL medical insurance organizations 
b.  That States be encouraged to form special funds for the treatment of the indigent stipulating that hospitals be reimbursed for their care.
c.  That health savings accounts be treated by the IRS in the same way as retirement funds and municipal funds (i.e. unrealized capital gains non-taxable).Clearly, the items under 4, and 5. above are the most controversial and most in need of further development. What is at stake

I have been asked, where is my moral compass and how can I support Trump even now?  My response is simple I am the man with the moral compass who understands that President Trump has been under assault since he ran for office and the impeachment proceeding is not about justice but the absent of justice.  As a person who did not support Trump in the 2016 Republican primary, I became a reluctant supporter in the General election and the reason was simple.  Hillary Clinton.  Hillary Clinton, who defended her husband even when he was accused of sexual assault and rape and who set up the Bimbo eruption team in the 1992 election designed to discredit any woman who came forward about her husband behavior. The same woman who managed to become worth nine figures while working as a public servant and who used her foundation as a pay to play scheme and whose carelessness with her emails threaten national security.  We know that Hillary Supreme Court appointees would end gun rights, cripple political and religious rights while cementing permanently bigger government for the next generation to suffer under. The choice wasn’t that hard on who to support in 2016.

Today the choice is even easier due to the present state of the Democratic Party.  Forget Joe Biden, he is done. I have liberal friends of mine who supported Biden a few months ago, now telling me they can lock the man up and his son too.  Biden will not survive Iowa if his candidacy is not finished before then.  Let look at some of the candidates.  Elizabeth Warren has adopted the hard-left Venezuela socialism platform so her economic plan ends America as we know it, nor should we forget that this is a woman who pretended to be Native American to take advantage of affirmative action that benefited her career.  Then there is Bernie Sanders, a man who honeymooned in the Soviet Union and whose own platform is equally as bad as Warren  You have Mayor Pete who managed to use the Bible to justify infanticide, These are your leading Democrats along with Kamala Harris whose record as Attorney General is littered with massive violation of civil liberties.

Here are some of the characters of the Party who stand in judgment of Donald Trump. These are men and women who will vote on impeachment and removal from office.  At least two Senate members had been accused of abusing their first wife and one even hit his first wife so hard, gave her a black eye.  You have the mod squad of hate including Representative Omar who allegedly committed tax fraud and immigration fraud, hangs out with Islamist radicals and has taken position that last year Chuck Schumer stated was anti-Semitic. She also told her husband that she was getting a divorce while having an affair with her fund raiser.  Just to cement what a great person she is, she even got her ex husband fired from his job working for the Minneapolis city council.  There is Representative Tlaib who single state proposal means the end of Israel as a nation, speaking of Anti-Semitism.  So much for moral compass.

There is Dick Durbin, Robert Menendez and Patrick Leahy who submitted a letter to the Ukrainian government last May to cooperate with Mueller investigation. As one pundit wrote, “The senators remind Lutsenko of everything the U.S. has done for his country and essentially tell him, it would be a shame if that were to end.”  John Solomon reported that Christopher Murphy told the Ukraine just recently, “Following the meeting, Murphy spoke to reporters. He said he pointed out to Zelensky that Ukraine currently enjoyed bipartisan support for its U.S. aid but wouldn’t it be a shame if something were to happen to it but if he chose to “investigate past corruption allegations involving Americans, including former Vice President Joe Biden’s family,” he runs the risk of losing Democratic support going forward…Murphy reportedly told Zelensky that U.S. aid was Ukraine’s “most important asset” and if he were to comply with Trump’s request, it would be “disastrous for long-term U.S.-Ukraine relations.” (The quote is from John Solomon article on the Hill September 23rd.)  These Senators who has already done far worse in the past few months than Trump is accused of, will stand in judgment. So much for Moral compass. 

If it wasn’t for double standard, Democrats would have no standards. For the past two years, the Democrats have stood as the chief defender of the Me-too movement and defending women from sexual assault. They supported the election of a State Attorney General and a Virginia Lt. Governor who had significant evidence of possible sexual assault. along with the two Senators with history of abuse in their past marriages.  The State Attorney General is still in office and any investigation into the Lt. Governor has ceased. This is the Party in judgment of Donald Trump. So much for moral compass.

What we are witnessing is the criminalization of foreign policy.  You may disagree with Trump approach to the Ukraine but that is a foreign policy decision in which the voters should be in judgment just as Joe Biden should be judge in the Democratic primary for threatening the Ukraine loss of foreign aid if they don’t quit investigating the company his son had significant financial interest.  (Ever notice how some Democrats end up multi-millionaires along with their family after their year of public service.) 

What Donald Trump asked the Ukraine government was for help to investigate what occurred in the 2016 election. The Democrats are really punishing Donald Trump for seeking the truth about what truly happened in 2016. Maybe it is because the truth is that it was Democrats who colluded with foreign governments in an attempt to win the 2016 election. 

Here is what at stake. We have seen a constant smear campaign against Donald Trump that had nothing to do with policy.  Democrats seem to think if Republicans are elected, it must be by foul means and means necessary to remove Republicans is acceptable.  The Democratic left attempts to reverse the will of the people in 2016.  Nor is that all. Any institution they can’t control, they try to delegitimize. The smear campaign against Brett Kavanaugh is one example.  With absolutely no evidence, they put Kavanaugh through one lie after another with the final goal of making any decision dealing with Roe v Wade illegitimate in the eyes of the public or intimidate Kavanaugh to decide their way.  This has been admitted by one of the defense team of Christine Ford. In order to end the politics of personal destruction instituted by the left, we must defeat the Democrats so future Democrats will understand that these tactics will fail at the ballot box.

The Democrats are attacking the proven principles that make America great.  We know that proven principles of hard work, not showing up at work drunk or stone, waiting until you get married before having children, delayed gratification, and taking personal responsibility are a pathway to success in our society.  We know that private enterprise creates wealth and allows individuals to be best they can be and pursue their passion, but even this principle is under attack as the left want to replace our capitalist system with Venezuela socialism. Our opponent talks of copying Nordic capitalist country, but their platform goes far beyond what any Nordic politician would do.  Here are the proposals already discussed on the campaign trail and in the debates:

  1. Free health care for illegal immigrants and open borders to allow more illegal immigrants to come in the country.
  2. Medicare for all and the elimination of private insurance, patient ability to choose their plan and their doctors. The government becomes the Doctor.
  3. Tax rates as high as 90% and wealth tax that most European countries have abandoned.
  4. No fossil fuels or nuclear energy, no automobiles with combustible engines and Green New Deal that will control what kind of car you drive (provided cars will still be allowed) and the size of the house.  They have even talked of the evil of eating meat and having pets. Say goodbye to the family pet. (I will add that electric car has to be charged and without fossil fuels or nuclear energy, good luck with charging your electric car.)
  5. Regressive tax system that will not only tax the rich but close to double the tax of the middle class
  6. Government spending that will double or triple what we presently spend, and we are spending far more than we should now

Our opponent wants to transform America into a Venezuela socialist state and they are arrogant enough to believe that Venezuela will not come here to America under their leadership. It will.

The question that voters will have to ask is whether we will remain a free country or become like Venezuela. 

I wanted to get these thoughts down for the 2020 election has already begun with the first election test in North Carolina and the next one in the Wisconsin 7th district in January.  Ronald Reagan stated it best, ““Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”  The choice is clear as Ronald Reagan also stated, You and I have a rendezvous with destiny…We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.”  Do we fight for light of freedom or surrender to the darkness of evil?
